About Me

Hi! I'm Megan Stulberg (she/her). I’m an award-winning content strategist with over a decade of experience in digital marketing, social media strategy, video production, copywriting, illustration, and brand development. Previously based in Los Angeles, I’ve been operating from my hometown of Toronto since 2018, and since 2022, I have been fully self-employed, working 100% of the time as a freelancer.

Throughout my career, I have developed both B2C and B2B marketing strategies across a variety of industries including sports and entertainment, retail and consumables, finance and insurance, pharmaceuticals and healthcare, urban development and design, and beauty and wellness.

Over the years I’ve had the opportunity to develop and execute content for brands including Cheetos, Tostitos, Medtronic, Canadian Medical Association, Walmart Canada, Uber, Sun Life Financial, Verizon, Goodyear, Nike, and New Balance. Additionally, I’ve had the privilege of working in-house for well-known entities including LeBron James’ media empire UNINTERRUPTED, Walmart Canada, and the HGTV show Love It or List It.

Content marketing is constantly evolving, and so is my work. I enjoy helping brands reach their marketing goals and foster connections through storytelling while continuously refining strategies in the ever-changing advertising landscape.

Experience

💻 Digital Strategist and Content Manager - Freelance (2015 - present, FT 2022 onwards) 💻 

I ideate and execute data-driven social media strategies, paid media and email marketing campaigns, brand guidelines and partnerships, website redesigns, and any other required digital marketing needs for established brands and small businesses alike. I work with a select group of agency partners, as well as directly with independent businesses. 

🛒 Editorial Integration Lead - Walmart Canada (2020 - 2022) 🛒

Walmart Canada’s editorial content program “theHUB” was dedicated to helping Canadians save time and money. My role was to lead the implementation of editorial shopping content strategically throughout the walmart.ca sales experience, spearheading overall traffic, email marketing, paid amplification, social media, and communication efforts. 

🥦 Social & Digital Lead - Tilray (2019-2020) 🥦

High Park Company was a subsidiary of Tilray to produce and distribute a portfolio of recreational cannabis brands and products for the Canadian market. My role was to lead legally compliant social media strategies for the entire brand portfolio, while also managing email marketing, brand partnerships, website builds, and agency relations as needed. 

🌿 Head of Insights & Social - Herb (2019) 🌿

Herb is a cannabis media company, known by many as “the voice of cannabis culture”, with over 14M+ followers. I developed high-level digital strategy driven by data and creative insights, supported the revenue team with branded content needs, and maintained the overall content calendar. 

🏀 Manager of Audience Development - Uninterrupted (2016-2018) 🏀

Uninterrupted is an athlete empowerment brand founded by LeBron James. I led social strategy and creative content execution for the majority of Uninterrupted’s digital releases during my tenure, including both long and short form video content, as well as podcasts. I worked regularly on Uninterrupted’s branded video content.
📺 Social Media Strategist - Big Coat Media (2015-2016) 📺 

Big Coat Media is the production company behind the hit home design TV show “Love It or List It”. My role was to manage the digital presences for all of their TV shows across social media and website, as well as working closely with high profile talent and implementing crisis management tactics as needed.
